Kitchen Medicine Herbal Class Series (RECORDING ONLY)
Kitchen Medicine Herbal Class Series (RECORDING ONLY)
In this class series, we will not only learn how to use common, accessible herbs, spices and ingredients as medicine, but we will also learn how to use each of the five flavors as our guides towards better health and healing. Since ancient times, people all over the world have used food as medicine—something too often forgotten in our industrialized western culture.
Each flavor—spicy (also known as pungent/aromatic), salty, sour, bitter and sweet—is associated with different body systems, seasons and energetics. We will learn how to use herbs and spices that embody these flavors to encourage ongoing health, adjust to the changing seasons, address common ailments and find new uses and histories for the medicinal herbs you may already have waiting in your kitchen. Every class will end by learning a simple but effective recipe that you can make at home.
This series is designed that each class can be taken individually, however each class builds on the last and when taken as a whole creates a wider, holistic view on how to create an abundance of medicine every time you go to the grocery store or cook a meal, as well as how to remain in good heath all throughout the year. Plus, you save over 15% when you sign up for the whole series!
