We need minerals for so many body functions. From bone strength to neurological function, since our soil are so often stripped of nutrients and most of us don’t eat enough high quality fruits and vegetables, many of us are mineral deficient.

A great way to capture the essential minerals in these plants is to make a vinegar!

I like to use apple cider vinegar to make my mineral-rich herb infused vinegars!


From: FAIRCHILD'S VINEGAR!


Ingredients:

  • 1 part Nettles (fresh or dry)

  • 1 part Red Clover (fresh or dry)

  • 1 part Chickweed (fresh or dry)

  • 1 part Milkyoats (fresh or dry)

  • 1 quart Apple Cider Vinegar (fresh or dry)

Recipe

Mineral-Rich Vinegar

Directions for making mineral-rich apple cider vinegar.

  1. Combine the herbs listed, or your favorite mineral rich herbs and place into a jar.

  2. Add vinegar to jar, covering the herbs completely with liquid.

  3. Store in a cool, dry, dark place for 2-4 weeks, shaking regularly.
